IBC was a great show as always, and the Leader and PHABRIX stand was buzzing with new and exciting tools to make your workflows easier. Here are a few highlights from Amsterdam…

Transitions to IP and Hybrid
If you think your facility may transition to IP soon, or is already working in a hybrid configuration, Leader has got you covered with test and measurement tools that won’t be redundant just a few years from now.
The new LT4670 sync pulse generator has IP and SDI time references locked to the same clock so you never get out of sync. And with dual independent PTP generators, it’ll continue to work well into the future in an all-IP environment.
On the PHABRIX QxL and QxP portable, you can seamlessly make the switch from SDI to IP and back again anytime. All you have to do is click on the opposite source and it’ll walk from SDI to IP back and forth without having to reboot. It’s the ultimate in convenience.
Workflows That Include Both SDR and HDR
Many visitors on the IBC show floor told us they are working in live production in HDR, but the deliverable is SDR, and the majority of their customers are watching in SDR. We also heard from DITs who often do an HDR grade in post, and when they do the SDR conversion, they’re concerned about losing the artistic intent.

The Leader ZEN-W Series with realtime remote WebRTC interfaces will even allow you to control it remotely with ultra low latency. This adds so much flexibility on already powerful tools. You’ll be able to monitor and control with precision, thanks to enhanced picture frame rate reproduction, so there’s no jagged movement.
