If you’re transitioning from SDI to IP or working in a hybrid environment, the last thing you want to do is reboot your test and measurement tools to switch from SDI to IP or back to SDI.
That’s why one of the most eagerly anticipated upgrades that Leader and PHABRIX rolled out at NAB was the single boot mode update for the PHABRIX QxL and QxP. Now all you have to do is click on the opposite source, and it’ll walk back and forth between SDI and IP without having to reboot.

During the recent Beyond the Booth: Steve & Kevin on What Got the Biggest Buzz at NAB seminar, Steve Holmes & Kevin Salvidge discussed updates to the PHABRIX Sx, Rx, and Qx series, Leader ZEN series, new true-hybrid LT4670 Sync Generator, and more.
The Qx Series (Qx, QxL, QxP) can now support SD to UHD formats, with the QxL and QxP supporting EUHD 444 RGB 12 bit formats. That’s a 21 to 23G payload for 4K content.
In other PHABRIX news, the Sx series (SxE, SxA, SxD, Sx TAG) now offers improved battery power management and multilink 3G and HD support, so if you’re running either dual link or quad link, you can look at the individual links, and it will read the 352 payload ID and tell you what’s going on.
