Thatcham, UK – 31 August 2022: PHABRIX, a broadcast test & measurement innovator, has announced the sale of a PHABRIX Rx500 rasterizer to the Guadalajara, Spain-based connectivity specialist Pinanson S.L. The 1U half-rack mount unit is being used for 3G-SDI signal testing of Pinanson’s copper video cable, video distributor and optical fibre solutions.
Established nearly 40 years ago, Pinanson designs and manufactures a wide range of connectivity solutions, including signal distribution and cabling products, press splitters, AV boxes, patch panels, controllers and adapters. To help ensure the superlative quality for which the company is renowned, Pinanson business development manager Elizabeth Sánchez Manzanero recently instigated the purchase of a PHABRIX Rx500 rasterizer for 3G-SDI signal analysis. The sale was arranged via the PHABRIX distribution partner in Spain, Abacanto Soluciones S.L.
Part of the RX Series of advanced rasterizers for 2K/3G/HD/SD signal generation, analysis and monitoring, the PHABRIX Rx500 is a compact, 1U half-rack mount solution for test and measurement. Equipped to handle up to 99 configurable presets, the Rx500’s specification includes an impressive range of video and audio tools as standard, along with its video capture tool to speed intermittent fault-finding, physical layer eye & jitter analysis, AV delay generation & analysis, multi-channel audio analysis, and an extensive video toolset.
Elizabeth Sánchez Manzanero, from the Engineering Department at Pinanson S.L., says that the company selected the Rx500 because of its “impressive speed and reliability in tests, along with the trustworthy reputation of Abacanto.” She adds that the Rx500 is being used for signal analysis as part of a workflow that involves the direct connection/disconnection of cables, equipment and fibre to a custom-made Pinanson patch. The connections are mirrored on the patch “in order to prevent rasterizer wear” through repeated use.
Phillip Adams, CEO of PHABRIX, comments: “Pinanson has a formidable track-record as a manufacturer of robust and reliable connectivity products, so it stands to reason that the solutions they employ as part of their test & measurement processes are of a similar quality. We are delighted that they have chosen to invest in one of our acclaimed Rx500 rasterizers, which they are already using for 3G-SDI signal analysis of multiple products in its range.”
