Leader is growing its U.S. team and seeks a motivated, technically proficient Sales Application Engineer to help our customers succeed.

Position Summary:
As a Sales Application Engineer, you will play a critical role in bridging the gap between our video solutions and customer needs. You will work closely with the sales team to provide pre-sales and post-sales support, deliver product demonstrations, advise customers through evaluations, and assist with system integrations and deployments. Your understanding of video technologies, including SDI, IP video, HDR, and transmission and streaming will make you a trusted partner to our users.

Key Responsibilities:
• Partner with sales representatives to understand customer requirements and propose technical solutions that meet their needs.
• Deliver compelling product demonstrations and training, both in-person and via video conferencing.
• Provide technical expertise on video test and measurement products, including features, system configurations, and use cases.
• Support customers quickly and courteously with evaluations, deployments, and operational issues.
• Respond to technical questions and RFPs, creating documentation and presentations as needed.
• Participate in trade shows, industry events, and webinars.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve complex customer issues and advise on future product needs.
• Study technical and product-related material and keep up-to-date with new releases and product capabilities.

Qualifications:
• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Broadcast Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of experience in field engineering or technical role within the video, live production, post-production, broadcast, or media technology industry. Previous experience in an applications engineering position also acceptable.
• Solid understanding of video signal standards (SDI, HDMI, IP video including SMPTE ST 2110), compression formats (H.264, HEVC), and delivery workflows (linear, OTT, CDN, live streaming).
• Strong communication and presentation skills; ability to explain complex topics to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to ~30% as required.

Preferred Technical Skills:
• Experience with video test and measurement tools (e.g., waveform monitors, signal generators, compliance monitors).
• Experience in audio and video workflows: camera shading, live production, post-production, video editing, etc.
• Design validation of IP and SDI equipment.
• Experience working with protocols such as: SNMP, REST APIs, or scripting for automation. IP switch configuration and management. NMOS control systems.
• Experience with AWS S3, Google Cloud, or Azure environments and applications.
• Prior experience in pre-sales for B2B hardware/software solutions is a plus.
